At Last!

Hello XXXX,

Thank you for contacting Flickr Member Support.

We appreciate you moderating the content in your
photostream. Your account has been marked as
"public"/"safe".

Please keep the Community Guidelines in mind when moderating
your content in the future.

Please also make sure you set the appropriate safety level
for your photos when uploading. A good rule of thumb is,
female breasts, bare/thong bottom, see through topless
nudity, nipple covers, etc. images need to be marked as
"moderate". Genitalia/pubic hair, fetish images need to be
marked as "restricted".

Thank you again for contacting us. If you have any other
questions, please feel free to reply to this email.

Regards,
Flickr staff

I appreciate and understand the need to protect the vulnerable from certain images but the number of images I have on my Flickr account that fall into the 'restricted' category you could count on the fingers of one hand and still have enough fingers left to tell a French archer to 'eff off'. This has been a frustrating time in terms of getting my photographs 'out there', particularly the photographs of Bradley Wiggins and Cav on the podium in Paris which were once in a lifetime shots and which were taken from a couple of yards from behind the L'Equipe photographer Bernard Papon and which I think compare well to his shots. The one at the top of this post is mine by the way.

Anyway lesson learned after two months of frustration.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts in the last two posts, Paul. I thought your lack of blogging was due to ill health and, more than once, I almost emailed you to see if you were O.K.

I'm glad your health is improved but it's disappointing to hear how Flickr etc have treated you. There seems to be a double standard going on and I can understand why you feel aggreived.

Personally, I have always thought your posts were very good and, on many occassions, better than some articles in what people would call good newspapers. Your stuff is thoughtful, informed and interesting and, for me, very worthwhile.

Please don't abandon your blog : you're an intelligent bloke who has interesting things to say. T'interenet would be worse off without you. Honest.

No doubt the Tour de France organisers were so miffed by Brad that they blocked everyone else too!

Now that I have posted in the post below I understand Shy's comment and agree wholeheartedly...now I read his comment again I see I misread the very first sentence re 'two' posts.

Thanks for the comments both of you. I won't abandon the blog I feel I've put too much in over the years to do that.

Interesting thing about Flickr was that they had made the site public again before letting me know as I can see that people have been looking at the photographs again.

Great to hear you'll still be blogging, Paul. I'm also looking forward to more photos.
