The best thing to come out of Stratford since my Grandad

I roginally wrote this on 27th August but it didn't get posted online due to my self imposed exile due to problems with the Interweb.

I love this band, I don't think that they have recorded a poor song in their entire one album career. It's funny how we all pigeon hole bands and categorise them, some times it helps to explain to somebody who hasn't heard their music by given them an aural reference point, but other times it can be a real help.  I download music from a well known online store and as is their want they tend to send e-mails suggesting a product (in this case a band) that sounds something like the music of a band you are already into - that was the case here.

The album didn't feature in any of this years critics 'best ofs' which seemed strange, perhaps critics can't remember what they were listening to back in March by the time we reach December.

very 70s feel to it. lead vocal and music reminds me of something specific, will think about it, could be The Associates? oK, the 80s.

On the strength of that one track I'd say they deserve greater recognition. Their second album will be interesting.
