Your starter for ten (or possibly twenty)

Read somewhere online that one of the tests for early signs of Alzheimer's is asking the patient to name twenty school friends from primary/junior school. Much easier for me to name the England 1966 World Cup winning side, plus squad members and the West Ham side that won the FA Cup in 1964 which are both from the same era. Most of the people I went to school with I have chosen to erase from my memory deliberately.

  1. Twenty? Bloody Hell! That sounds a lot to me. As you say, Paul, I'm sure most blokes our age would find it easier to name football players than school friends.

  2. I am an exception? Mind you I still meet up with 10 or so at least once a year for beers and there are at least another 10 (we have to gossip about something). Mind you, buggered if I know what Alzheimer's is or what the school was called...or where it was...

  3. I think you possibly are Span. Isn't it your birthday around now or have I missed it?

  4. Hi Paul, last month, end of August; always (one of) the baby of the school year. Thanks for getting it with a few weeks though, better than most!

  5. Well you had mentioned it a while back but I didn't realise it was that long ago!
