The Germans Do Have A Sense of Humour

The British love their animals don't they, it's a given.

A little while ago Chris Packham dared to lift his head above the parapet and suggest that the cat population of these islands was doing more to harm the native bird population than had previously been considered possible. Unfortunately when his comments appeared on some news boards some people resorted to the 'let's blame the immigrants' line of argument that seems to appear more and more on every discussion from the rise in VAT to the possible abolition of the tax disc in car windscreens.

Anyway the English language edition of the German magazine Spiegel carries a longer version of the Packham story. It's a good article but what caught my eye was at the bottom of the page, an advert from bestpestbusters - who says the Germans don't have a sense of humour?

  1. jejeje, I didn't get that ad, I think it selects ads on where the user is/has searched for/related to the story so it's not really the Germans...although truth be told they DO have a very dry sense of 'humour' and they get British humour too.

  2. Hi Span - thanks for your comments as always. I didn't get the advert the second time I clicked on the link either which was a bit worrying! I agree about the Germans humour.
