Moderation yes, but in moderation surely

As the number of outlets for BBC viewers, messageboarders, bloggers etc seems to reduce on a daily basis it's strange to notice that one aspect of life as a BBC poster never changes, the bizarre moderation system.

We got used over the years of 5Live (and other stations) to the three minute rule but on the Football page on the final day of the summer transfer window the time between postings is now 10 minutes! Gone are the days of the spontaneous comment, the witty riposte, the biting wit - also more noticeably gone are the number of available subjects you can post on.
