Bed or donkey?

To Meet My Past by Tracey Emin CBE goes under the hammer this week at Christie's as part of the Charles Saatchi multi million pound sale - that Nigella is going to need some alimony although Philippa Adams, senior director of the Saatchi Gallery, commented that the auction has “absolutely nothing to do with the divorce”

Described as "Mixed media installation comprised of a four poster bed, mattress and appliquéd linens and curtains", it doesn't have a reserve price and should you have the space, and of course the money, it would add a certain something to that spare bedroom.

Personally, and much as I do like Tracey Emin's work, especially her Monument Valley photographs which are stunning and dominated two walls of Tate Britain when I visited back in 2007, my personal favourite of the items coming up for sale is Zhang Huan's donkey.

I mean how cool is this? A stuffed donkey climbing up a motorised skyscraper, what's not to like?

I would have photo shopped out those overhead cables!

  1. Tracey Emin - crap. I could do better as I think could anyone: prime example of when art is so far up its own arse that critics can't say "What the fuck is that shit?"

    Donkey - brilliant

Re cables...or move the chair a few feet forward: not rocket science so I assume hey wanted them.

  2. Your first line could have been said by my wife (if she swore)!

I think the donkey is a stroke of genius and way beyond my pocket.
