This is Marie from Petersfield showing her playing technique with a Les Paul something or other, I'm sure Shy can identify it. She used to play in a band and rather than ask to he smile I said, "can you give us a D?" to which she replied "not sure about that, will a G do?" - No idea if that is what she is attempting but she was fun to photograph.
In the shot below she is obviously trying to work out what has happened to the rest of her dress!

She is, indeed, giving you a G. The guitar is an Epiphone Les Paul. Epiphone used to be an independent company but were taken over by, and are now a kind of sister company of, Gibson which is why they can legally use the name "Les Paul".
I'm a bit rusty in such matters but I think a guitar like that one would cost you £400-£500 whereas a Gibson Les Paul would be three times as much.
Bloody hell Shy! My not quite as impressive reply: I like her denim jacket!
Re the picture below, obviously a fish net dress (all the fish jokes that spring to mind are too weak to even put here)
"too weak" to put even here? My guess is that some of them may well be too crude as well!
I am talking of a Gibson Les Paul Custom which is the kind of starting point for Les Pauls. You can get some Gibson Les Pauls for not that much more than the Epiphones (e.g. a Gibson Les Paul Studio)but they are different in several ways to the Customs. There is quite a range of Les Pauls : mainly because not everyone can afford a Custom and partly because Fenders tend to be cheaper.
Nerdy, or what?
I'm impressed Shy, not by your knowledge as that was a given, bit that you took the time to explain and expand on it, thank you.
I'm hoping to be working with Marie's sister in the near future as she is keen to do some modelling.
It was a shawl actually Span not a dress but we wanted to try some different things out.
yes, I can imagine you...just a bit closer, just a bit more, bit of zoom...oops I seem to have caught my codpiece in your shawl.
