Champions League Final - Barcelona v Arsenal in Paris
HT: 0-1 Sol Campbell
Well it's half-time in Paris and Gooners everywhere are celebrating their time in the sun, courtesy of a Sol Campbell header from a Theirry Henry free-kick. The match began brightly with Henry one-on-one with Victor Valdes after two minutes but the young Spaniard saved the shot. Then the Norweigian referee showed why Norway is not the natural home of the footballer by disallowing a goal by Barcelona but sending off Jens 'crazy German guy' Lehmann - he should have waited to see what happened to the ball before ruling the goal out - but that's football.
So we have a quick fifteen minute break before forty-five minutes of attack v defence.
Well Barca finally won, two goals in a ten minute spell within the last quarter of an hour of the match - Samuel Eto'o and Belletti getting the goals - the difference was Henrik Larsson who came on as a sub for his last game in Barcelona colours.
After the match Thierry Henry complained about the ref, despite the fact that Henry missed two one on ones and Wenger complained about the ref despite the fact that Arsenal's goal came as a result of the worst dive I have ever seen in a major final courtesy of Eboue.
Still, justice was served and defeat couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of players and supporters!
