If gardening is the new rock and roll then the Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) must be the groupies. At the back of the border, screaming for attention with its height and bright colours every garden should have a small group of these plants.

Of course it (foxglove) is very VERY poisonous!
...but also a source of digitalis (heart medicine).
I know it sounds like a scene from Ever Decreasing Circles "and what's your second favourite jam?"
I had been taking photographs yesterday morning and reading that gardening was the in-thing replacing golf among supposed hellraisers.
