In case you were wondering who I was referring to on Gavin's blog which is here http://gavincorder.blogspot.com/ and is the best blog in the world that includes the words Gavin and Corder in its title / (can I have my tenner now please Gavin?)
Ladies and Germs, George Berry.

Alas Dear Paul, I knew George well! Well not that well really but I did have a few dates with him until he found out how old I really was!
Lovely man. gentleman, good manners and you could take him home to meet your mother.
Ah Yes I remember you saying you looked 18 until you were nearly thirty or so.
George wasn't a bad footballer either - he just had the bad luck to play for Wolves!
George was a good footballer, voted player of the year by the fans for a couple of seasons and he played for the Wolves when they were doing OK. He won a league cup winners medal with them and they finished 6th in the old Division 1 that year too!. At least he didn't play for West Brom!!! It wouldn't have been quite as handy for silly media labels if there had been four degrees.
BTW, up in my loft, in a box that is probably mouldering (must go up and check) I have a West Ham rosette and match programme bought at the 1975 FA Cup final. Did you go?
You might have done a link to
my blog since I went to ALL the trouble of looking the Berry up AND posting an html link IN my comments section IN response to your meandering word association football hooliganism!
You're just sulking about the sideburns comment!
Mags! I'm shocked! You were a little hussy! Actually I was surprised reading your politicisation saga by how young you started work. Those of use with degrees postponed growing up...some of us have put it off for quite some time...
Gavin, I have often thought that university is wasted on 18 year olds because they don't have the life experience to appreciate just what a wonderful opportunity they are being given.
I did my degree as a mature student at Birkbeck. They called it part time but the full degree course was done in four years, all in the evenings, whilst working full time during the day. I was 27/28 when I started and really appreciated everything about the course and the people I met there.
And yes, I was a hussy. Haven't seen that word used for a long time now. It's usually ho these days or tart!
I like a trollop myself!
That's better! I do like a PROPER mention!
