YOU CAN STOP LOOKING NOW

"They are illusions
They're not the solutions they promised to be
The answer was here all the time"

It's not often you'll find the lyrics of Tim Rice adorning my blog but those lines from 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina' came intro my head watching Manchester United v Celtic the other night. Whilst Rio and Wes Brown were doing their Laurel and Hardy impersonation at the back the little Ginger from Oldham was catching the eye at the other end of the pitch.

Forget trying to play Fat Frank and Stevie G in the same side, forget trying to get Carrick, Lampard, Gerrard, Hargreaves and Downing into the same side - Scholesy's back.

Paul Scholes is available for England selection and, in the same way that England's cricketers and Rugby Union players pick and choose, he should be in the team for the more important qualifying games in the Euro 2008 campaign.

Put him in midfield alongside Owen, Stevie G and Joe Cole behind Wazzer and Deano (when fit he must play instead of Beanpole) and we'll have a better balance to the side and look better against more organised teams.

We have to face facts - Scholes is only 31 and he's forgotten more about being International class than Lumpard will ever learn and Downing could play on the left wing until he's 50 and never be more than an average Premiership player.

Scholesy and Woody back on form in the same week, now all we need is for McLaren to have the guts to drop Robinson and we might be on the road to somewhere worth visiting.
