Ashes Update
I wasn't sure if staying up until the early hours this morning would be the equivalent of attending somebody's funeral before they were actually dead but it was worthwhile to see England's batsman trying to restore some pride.
Watching Sky's coverage I was interested to see that my theory behind Ponting's decision not to enforce the follow-on was shared by the host presenter but dismissed by the professionals on hand - obviously they know more about this than I do but I drew some comfort from the fact I wasn't the only one on the planet with those thoughts!
I suppose there must be the nagging thought at the back of some Australian minds now that KP could make a nuisance of himself and bat for another three sessions, the problem is that if Jones is out before lunch I can't see the tail hanging around.
On the subject of Steve Harmison, whilst not wanting to kick somebody when they are down his body language this morning in the short time he had with the ball looked all wrong. He's probably hoping that the rainy season will begin later today and he can get down to Adelaide asap.
