I'll Have A Large Black One Thanks
Time to pull a pint of the old Liffey water, not just to toast Blogmeister Gavin's 80th birthday but also because tonight was parents evening at Nathalie's school.
I have to tell someone dear reader as Janis is at work and most of the other people I know are down the school still waiting for their appointments, by the way how do you get to be twenty-five minutes behind schedule in the first hour? Anyway Nathalie has achieved next years expected level in 7/13 subjects and she has attained this years level with an A grade in all the others and there's still two terms to go.
I'm as proud as I can be without getting lockjaw through smiling too much.
Well I'm off for something tall, cool and black.

Good news, Paul! When your kids do well it brings a gratification all of it's own, doesn't it?
Don't forget to give Nat a treat!
Congrats to your daughter, Paul, you must be very proud of her.
Parents' evenings always run late !
Hoorah for Nats.
Sorry I've called her Nats. You probably hate that don't you.
Thanks for your comments everybody.
Six, I used to but I've got used to her friends calling her Nats. I still call her Nathalie to her face but often find myself calling her Nats when writing on here.
May Nats continue to make you as proud as you are now and may she continue bringing you the delight she obviously does. Nats, you must be one hell of a girl. It's kind of scary to think what sort of woman you may be!
She's not perfect Mags but fortunately we haven't had the sort of problems other parents have had.
As for what she will turnout like - who knows we still have those 'difficult' teenage years to go through.
Nat's is the same age as my son I think. That being so, I think if you were going to have a difficult time it would have started by now. Girls tend to start chucking the pooh pooh at about 12. I should know, I started at 11! I reckon you will be OK Paul. Got a feeling in me waters on that one. Let's hope that I am right!
Blogmeister, huh? [smiles smugly] 80th? Cheeky bugger! [retracts smile as wasted on some people!]
Congrats to Natalie!
A star!
A nice smile is never wasted Gavin - misunderstood sometimes, but never wasted!
My youngest is 11 and she's just starting the certifiable temper tantrums. She managed a good one last Sunday evening, got sent to bed for it but was as nice as ninepence in the morning!
Strange creatures!
