7

It's the seventh day of the year 2007 today - okay no points for stating the bleeding obvious but I was laying in bed this morning, before I realised it was the seventh, and it occurred to me that years ending in 7 have been significant in one way or another. Whether this thought could have occurred to me tomorrow and messed up the whole synchronicity of events leading to this post is another matter.

Did you know for example that 7 is the number of stellar objects in the solar system visible to the naked eye? I thought not, anyway apparently it's true: the sun, moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. If you are religious then the number seven is highly significant to Christians, Muslims and Jews alike and in music it is the number of notes found on the traditional western music scale.

Anyway back to me:

1937: The year my parents were both born in East London (Mum in March/Dad in April)

1937: My Mum's family move from Bethnal Green to Hornchurch in Essex

1947: My Dad's family move from Stepney to Hornchurch in Essex

1957: My parents get engaged (they marry on the 7th June 1958)

1967: The year my parents decided to move from Essex to Dorset
I wore the number 7 football shirt in the school football team from 1967-1977

1977: The year I left school to begin a career in Accountancy

1987:The year Janis and I moved into our present house - number 17

1997:The year my current boss bought my old bosses practice from his executors

So what significant event waits around the corner?
