Some People Are Just Useless
Grumpy Parrott finds new ways on an almost weekly basis to wind Angela and myself up. He is the most useless manager in the history of managing since Christian Gross or that bloke who swapped The Beatles for twenty Silk Cut back in 1962.
Today he proved once again that his interests come before everybody elses regardless of circumstance. Angela was in at 6:30 this morning to finish the last few tax returns, file them online and then check all of those that had to be hand delivered today. All that needed to be done was that they had to be dropped off at the tax office. In the office diary she noticed that G.P had a dentist appointment round the corner from the Tax Office.
"Can you deliver these tax returns for me."
"I could but I won't."
"Why?"
"I've got the dentist at 4"
"I know, that's why I'm asking you."
"But I might get delayed at the tax office and the dentist will fine me."
"So leave early."
"I might still get held up."
"Leave an hour early."
"No."
Brilliant.
By the way, sorry if the last two days postings have been boring but I'm in agony with my pelvis being out of alignment at the moment and was waiting until all the tax returns were finished before getting it sorted out. And I want my blog to deal with 'diary' items as much as the bigger picture.

When it comes to uselessness of colleagues, Paul, you're preaching to the converted with me. It is, however, interesting how said uselessness manifests itself in so many different ways.
Hi Shy - I just can't believe that there are some people who seem hell bent on either not helping or not being part of a 'team' in the office. It gets to the stage where you don't know whether to feel angry or sorry for him.
Grrrrr!
Paul, your blogs are never boring because you write well.
I have read your Auschwitz entry a few times because as you know, I am hoping to visit in a little over two weeks but I didn't want to say anything just yet because I wanted to refer back when I had been. Plus I couldn't think of anything good enough to say!
Paul ,I'm sorry you're in pain. Your blog is always very entertaining.
PS: I was in a rush when I posted yesterday so I forgot to say that I hope you are feeling better by the time you read this.
xx
Thank you Mags and Curmy - I'm in quite a lot of pain but being a man it's probably nothing!
