A lot has been made of the lack of nutritional fayre on offer at the new Wembley, the Deathburgers, the fish and chips, the KFC and my personal favourite the Pizza Baguette.
Now not having been to Wembley, the FA's online ticket service crashed, I haven't had the opportunity to investigate this culinary delight and I suspect that rather than actually being a slice of pizza inside a baguette it probably looks something like the picture above.
Now I only suppose it's right to criticise the lack of salads, pastas and other foods we are told are good for us, after all this is the national stadium but that criticism misses two important points. Firstly the food you consume at a football match must be easy to handle, one handed preferably, now that's not going to happen with a toasted ciabatta covered with tomatoes on the vine, pesto and a few grilled almonds is it? Secondly if it's a choice between 'healthy' food and the national side actually winning something during my daughter's lifetime I'll go with the latter, fast food franchises produce income which goes to the FA and which trickles down to the clubs.
Whilst on the subject of the food on offer it can't have passed anybody by that the prices are extortionate: £4.60 for a cheeseburger, £1.60 for a glass of lemonade, £3.60 a pint of beer (lager for the women), £1.50 for a packet of crisps and £1 for a mars bar!
Still, should West Ham ever make it to a Cup Final at the new stadium and actually win I'll be the one in Bar 1966 paying £50 for a glass of Pomagne.

That's because by the time Wet Sham win ANYTHING at Wembley £50 will buy you what £5 does today.
That made me laugh - although by rights I should have just said Cow!
Teehee.
Chortle!
I have a feeling that there might be some sort of Karma about it this year.
Chelsea were the last team to win the FA Cup at the "old" Wembley (that indescribably sp? boring game against Absolutely Vile in 2000) and I feel that they will be the first team to win at the new arena.
You read it here first!
Pizza baguette is cheese on toast by any other name and is called pizza so they can charge even more.
The lads at my daughters school are just two matches way from Wembley. I do so hope they make it. What an incredible experience for a bunch of ten and eleven year olds to play at Wembley.
