Why Can't The British Do Porn?
There's something so British about an adult television channel being closed down because it got too explicit isn't there? But that's what happened last week when the trolls at wankwatch or Oftcum or, whatever the regulatory body are called, decided that 'flashing the gash' as it is known in certain circles, on a Sky Adult Television Channel breached the rules governing these sort of programmes.
I searched the net, all in the name of research you understand, and found that there is widespread despondency amongst viewers as to what actually constitutes adult material when it its broadcast by a television company. 'Penis Free Television' is how when disgruntled subscriber put it.
Now I'm not advocating open house or deregulation when it comes to pornography on television, but I remember discussing this back in the day on the 5Live News Board when the Playboy One Channel was just after E4 on the Sky numbering system and the fact remains that you can see full frontal nudity on a deregulated channel but not on a subscriber only regulated channel.
I'm not a fan of pornography nor a consumer (me thinks he doth protest too much I can hear you cry) but as a nation we have more of these channels than France, Spain and Italy put together, can we not at least deliver encrypted pictures that do what they say on the tin rather than more empty promises?

Well, Paul, you think the British can't do porn, eh?
All I can say is send Veronika Zemanova round to my house with a camcorder and I'll give it my best shot! (If you'll pardon the expression.)
Thanks Shy - made me laugh.
I'm sure we can make it it's just that we can't deliver (ho hum!)
