This reminds me so much of when we went down, the time before last. Just about all the players that had made Sunderland a decent Premiership side (for a short while) jumped ship.
Still, we're on our way back and I'm sure The Irons will recover from the present difficulties given time.
Shy - if you go up I'm going to write a piece about Roy Keane. The night he was appointed a Rokerite (as they used to be called I believe) phoned Talksport and told everbody to put as much money as they could afford on Sunderland getting automatic promotion. He said with Keane's contacts in the game he would do something special.
You can throw as much money as you like at a club but without motivation you'll get nowhere fast. Nobody in the Sunderland changing rooms ever has to look at their manager and say 'show us your medals'.
