No Wonder Football Academies Don't Work
Any aspiring young professional footballer watching the football results this weekend would have been seriously disappointed by what they saw. That glamourous, well paid job that they thought lasted only slightly longer than a game on X-Box can actually be a career.
Step forward, Teddy Sheringham, Dean Windass, Gary Speed and Dion Dublin who scored for Colchester United, Hull City, Notlob and Delia Smith City respectively. Those four players have a combined age of 164, which makes them far too young for the Rolling Stones, total league appearances of 2,525 and career goals of 747.

How Teddy Sheringham keeps going is a mystery to me. How old is he now, 43? Amazing!
He'll be 42 next weekend Shy.
I remember him playing for Millwall alongside Tony Cascarino back in the early eighties.
