From the sublime to.....

One post on from Burma and we come to Brighton. Not the pebble beach laden, look no piers left, sex by the sea, Fatboy Slim enhanced Sussex town but it's football team.

Brighton and Hove Albion are suing West Ham United for a loss of earnings caused by Brighton's elimination from the FA Cup last year in the 3rd Round. The basis of their claim is that Brighton were the only team West Ham beat in last years competition and that one of the players in the Hammers line-up that day was, yes you've guessed it, Neal Warnock's best mate, Carlos Tevez.

Now there are two possible reasons for this sudden interest in the contents of our Icelandic owners wallet, either (a) Brighton have an impressive FA Cup record and feel that their progress through the competition and inevitable meeting with the losing finalists at Wembley was brought to a cruel and morally unjust end or (b) they have a new ground to build and are short of dosh.
