Gordy Goes To School
Gordon Brown visited Nathalie's school yesterday afternoon. Apparently he had asked to visit the top school in the area, was told it was closed, and so visited Christchurch. Okay, I lied about the closed bit. I don't know if it made the national news but it was covered locally, more impressive though was that he didn't have a huge entourage with him, he just turned-up in a Range Rover.
He praised the school for offering apprenticeship training and vocational training, as I've mentioned before it's one of only twenty schools in the country to have technological status, this means you can study a City & Guilds course there, which seems like something from the past and one of the few things of the past worth returning to. Anyway he was offered a haircut by one of the hairdressing trainees but declined claiming he'd already had a trim.
I know as a cynical adult you can put it down to postering and conference fluff but it's not too often you get a visit from the P.M.

What did the pupils think of it all though?
Nathalie was quite excited, especially as he parked outside the classroom she was in. I'm not sure how the rest of the school felt though.
What did Al Gore have to say about it?
