It's Okay, I've Got A Cold

I wouldn't be typing this if it wasn't for the combined effects of Benylin and Soothers so I'll say it only once, Arsenal are looking quite good. They are actually playing like a side who are good enough to finish in the top half of the Premiership this season. And if you were one of the lucky punters who followed James Lawton's advice in the Independent back in the summer and put some money on them at 10-1 to win the title I bet that pink slip is well worn as you repeatedly take it out of your back pocket just to check it does say "Arsenal to win 2007-8 Prem. 10-1."
The only problem I can see for the Arse is after Christmas when the African players go home for the qualifying games in the ANC. Even Arsene Wenger seems to have calmed down over the summer break and has only made one or two stupid comments so far, rather than the usual one or two a week. Obviously having to play everything through a certain Mr Henry inhibited some of the younger players and now they have a certain freedom.
(It's okay, I've rung the bell and the matron will be here soon, then normal service will be resumed.)

They've started with a rather ominous flourish this time, haven't they? Actually, until they play Sunderland it's quite easy for a northerner like me to be neutral and enjoy their football. To be honest, when we do play them I'll think we'll get a hiding : maybe not the 5 - 0 thrashing they gave Derby County but we haven't got players in the same league as the likes of Fabregas and Adebayor.
I agree Shy, the only downer about the way they play is the fact that its Arsenal.
hahahahahahahahaha..HOWEVER, being a gooner I can tell you that for the last few seasons (since going unbeaten in fact) Arsenal have an Oct/Nov dip...still dropping only two points so far (and that being Lehmanns booboo in the closing stages meaning a draw vs Blackburn) in all competitions (plus 4 pre-season wins v Lazio, Milan, Paris SG and Ajax) AND the double in the pre CL qualifier these lads will probably feel quite down when they actually lose!...shouldn't happen this week though (2nd CL win plus Sunderland at home (4 nil says I)
...anyway, a great start and fingers crossed.
