Some Random Thoughts
The Customer Is Always Right
Good to see the England players getting some stick at St.James Park and Pride Park on Saturday, they need to be told how disappointed England supporters are. It was also good to see Stevie G and John Terry facing the cameras and agreeing that the spectators have the right to voice their opinion, of course there's always one who gets his PR wrong - step forward Ashley Cole who said, "I don't know why they booed me, I wasn't even playing on Wednesday night," (what a pity you can type the sort of snivelling noise that sentence should accompany). Yep Ashley, you weren't fit enough for your country but less than seventy two hours later you were fit enough to play against Derby - got your priorities right again I see.
Pantomine Season Already
The problem West Ham supporters have with the concept of booing England internationals is that it means that Jermain Defoe probably thought we were blaming him for the Croatia debacle rather than just reminding him what a self-serving, transfer seeking little weasel he is. And our next game is Chelsea, Fat Frank and Jinky Joe - it's like Pantomine season already!
The words horse and stable door come to mind
After last weeks missing disks cock-up it was good to see security has been tightened in some government departments, the site I visited today (as I have done everyday for the past three years) actually asked for my security password for the first time in three years. I guess it's never too late.
Two nations divided by a common language
I notice that the American expression "FYI" meaning For Your Information has crossed the Atlantic. I won't be using it myself, not any anti-American reason it's just I can't say it without thinking I sound like a Geordie - go on try it yourself.

My wife got a written apology from HMRC today about the missing disks fiasco. I feel like writing back asking if anyone is going to face any kind of disciplinary measure but I can well imagine the reply.
You've reminded me of a bad joke.
"Did you know the sequel to 'I, Robot' will be filmed on location in Newcastle? It's going to be called 'Why Aye, Robot'!"
(Puts on coat and heads for door. Stops suddenly and thinks "Bloody Hell, where am I going? I'm already at home!".)
FYI I 've been using FYI for years...maybe I'm more 'cosmopolitan' than I thought ;-)
Discs...what wankers, I bet I know where they are (posted on that thread...)...bad times for NL at the moment...I'm rather enjoying it all!
Footy - slimy shiteballs, see gerrard's goal...he's a wanker too.
