No, not the Dr.Who actress but the member of staff who bears a more than passing resemblance to the former Mrs Chris Evans. After nearly seven years with us the moment of truth came on Tuesday morning when she handed in her notice and said she would be leaving this Monday - not much time to organise a present for the girl who has everything but happiness.
It's been a strange employment. For a start she's never needed the money and has therefore lacked any real sense of motivation. She's reduced her hours to less than twenty over the time she's been with us and most people would happily tell you that she is the perfect example of a person who avoids work where possible. That said we've had some laughs, some tears, I've stuck up for her I don't know how many times over the years and she repaid me by making a complaint against me for telling her a few home truths.
If you wanted to meet somebody who, on the surface at least, has everything: money, looks, endless foreign holidays, rich husband but who feels desperately unloved and unfulfilled then she's your girl. Even her resignation isn't a full stop merely a semi colon as she is taking time out to think what she really wants to do with her life. What she really wants is a baby but she's unlikely to have one due to a medical cock-up a few years ago which has left her mentally and physically scarred.
She'll be missed, mainly for the days, no years, when she was the prettiest star. As P.G Wodehouse wrote, "When she leaves, she will take the sunshine with her."

It makes me wonder what people said about me when I left my last employer after 17 years. As far as most of my former colleagues are concerned I could make a pretty good guess!
Well Shy in my humble opinion the good ones are forgotten about, it's only the pains in the bum that are ever remembered.
