They May Be Small and Humble But....

A fan (now there's a euphemism!) has shelled out $3,000 for Shakira's bra, the one that she wore on last year's World Tour. Now leaving aside the question of why somebody would want to pay that much money for a pop stars underwear, the next question is, what would you do with it once you've bought it?

I suppose that fashion is art, art is fashion, and the bra isn't your normal run of the mill Berlei or Gossard item. I find the idea of wanting something that belonged to somebody famous a bit strange, that said I have often thought about buying sports memorabilia and several books I own have been signed by the authors. I don't think that's the same thing though, after all you can queue up at your local bookstore and get Shane Warne to sign his autobiography, you can't hang around in Marks and Spencer in the hope that Helen Mirren will be buying a thong there.

It appears that Shakira is selling off her entire wardrobe for charity, good for her, let's hope some of it ends up in a museum.
