A Flag For Dorset?
Unlike our Wiltshire and Devonian neighbours the county of Dorset does not have its own official flag, but it's a definite work in progress at the moment. St.Wites cross is the suggested flag and the public has been asked to submit its ideas for the flag - although quite why St.Wite should be celebrated is another matter, I mean when you think of Dorset which famous man of the county springs to mind? Thomas Hardy. Or what about our adopted sons and daughters: Billy Bragg, Toyah Wilcox, Harry Redknapp, Noel Gallagher, Madonna, P.D James, P.J Harvey?
No, there is only man one big enough for the job.

Not sure I like that yellow...maybe a compromise: the flag as is but with the yellow replaced by the chalky-field green of Cerne Giant and with the man himself silhouetted in the middle.
I think the yellow looks awful to be honest. Dorset is a green county so as you say let's have a green background.
Yea - let's have a green background like every other county - that's hardly original is it? Every county is green! This one stands out a mile!
