Well Who Would Take A 90% Pay Cut?

So the darling of students, retired people and amateur mathematicians everywhere has quit Countdown after 26 years. Countdown presenter Carol Vorderman quit the show after she was told to take or leave a 90% pay cut, her manager has claimed. It has to be said that Carol had offered to take a 33% per cent cut, apparently this was in line with other cuts on the long running show but she was told no deal - which confused her as that's Noel Edmonds show surely?

Anyway, from the picture above it's obvious that Carol has been having trouble making ends meet for sometime! I can claim a degree of separation of four from Miss Vorderman, my brothers girlfriend for a while when he was a teenager was the future wife of Carol's second husband's brother - okay, it's tenuous but people get paid by tabloids for less of a connection with the rich and sartorially challenged..
