Crime and Punishment
It's a dirty job I know but somebody has to take photographs of Russian models reading books whilst wearing only their underwear. I can't justify what Irina was wearing, the point of the shot was to demonstrate the use of low level lighting and it works great. If this trend spreads you know where you saw it first, reading sessions in the local public library would certainly be different and although it wouldn't guarantee an increase in literacy levels it would at least bring a smile to people's faces in these depressing times.

Had she been reading a thriller, you could've called it "Suspense and suspenders". Actually, no. That sounds like an episode of Blackadder III.
Is she really Russian? Can't you get English models to do that sort of thing? Perhaps they think reading is a step too far for them!
No, seriously, low levels of lighting were always a problem for me when I dabbled in photography in the mid-seventies. Even if I got the exposure roughly right my pictures always seemed to have a yellowy-orange hue to them. Maybe because they were taken indoors and I should've had a tungsten filter or something similar.
Did you need to flash?
I must say I do admire the subtle curve and gentle lines of the reading lamp.
Hi Shy - I don't know about English models being able to read but Irina had trouble understanding directions! Studio work is so different but just as challenging as outdoor photography. It was actually a book on quotations which she found funny for some reason.
I didn't flash Span but flash was used, I agree about the lamp, it mirrors the models neck. Okay, I'm off to Pseuds Corner for a rest.
wow! Unbelievable...1st shot on target for Barca and it's a goal
(93 minutes! 3rd minute of 4 minutes extra time)...just in case you didn't know!
p.S...was it 3 penalties or 4 that the ref didn't give?
;-)
