There is always one isn't there?
The face of caring Conservatism was on display in the House of Commons when the so-called 'Vulture-funds' bill was blocked last Friday. The shape of things to come?
What motives can there be for blocking such a bill? Is it conceivable that someone can be so philosophically committed to the concept of "small government" that they regard such a bill as being another example of too much state interefence? Or could it be that financial interests are involved?
Without knowing what the bill proposed 'in its entirety' and what was proposed for ammendments needs to be clear before hanging Chope out to dry for blocking it; he didn't kill the bill he delayed it but considering the nearness to election it may not be resurrected, Chope must know that...HOWEVER, if it becomes clear that there are direct financial interests of any sort involved then he needs flogging.
He's our bloody MP! He delayed the street traders bill for ages as well until there was a chance it wouldn't make it during this parliament. I like a man with principles but I think he misjudged opinion on this one.
And I have to give a thumbs up to David Cameron if he does take this further.

Hmm, I see your point, Span. Let's hope a full explanation is offered.
