You will know, unless you've been on Planet Zog for the last week, that England play Algeria tonight in their second group match of the 2010 World Cup. You will also be aware, possibly, that a sense of fear and foreboding seems to have gripped the nation. People are openly discussing 1-1 draws, talking about just needing four points from the games against Algeria and Slovenia to qualify for the Round of 16.
What has happened to this country? We are England, we are ranked eighth in the world, we are playing Algeria a country whose two best players play for Rangers and Portsmouth - that's the champions of Scotland, a nation that gets to an international competition once in a blue moon, and a club that was relegated last year from the Premiership. England have nine players who have played in Champions League finals over the past five years.
If we don't win by three or four goals I'll be very surprised.

I let you decide if you want to delete this hehehe. what a fucking shower, and that is polite. I thought 2 or 3 goals at least, what i didn't expect was NO clear chances, no passion, no skill, outplayed by a poor Algeria: there are some options:
1. the England players were kidnapped and replaced by a bunch of fucking useless wankers
2. they all had the shits so couldn't run
3. they have had death threats
4. Algeria paid them.
Something is wrong, England scored the quickest goal (4 minutes vs. USA) now Slovenia, population 2 million (if that) have scored 3.
Wishful thinking, culpable optimism, we all thought we might walk it. For me, the worst thing was Capello's body language at half time. It looked like he was at the end of his tether with them.
