Dear Iain,

I never agreed with your politics, oh alright some of your ideas weren't completely barking, but you were always a good read. And at the final whistle we had a bond more important than mere political dogma, we had the Irons.

It's a shame when politics descends into name calling, scaremongering, dirt digging and really non-news but when information access is open twenty four hours a day those twenty fours have to be filled and where there is no story somebody will make something up.

Good luck with your career, personally I think your brain is wasted in politics.
