McDonald's has announced plans for four outlets on the Olympic Park at London 2012, including the biggest in the world, as part of its sponsorship for next year's Games which will feature American swimmer Dara Torres as its global ambassador.
As the Official Restaurant of the Olympic Games, McDonald's is the only branded retail food service provider to feed the athletes, media and spectators.· McDonald's will have four new Olympic venue restaurants: one in the Olympic Village, one in the Main Press Centre, and two in the Olympic Park for spectators - one of which will be the largest McDonald's freestanding restaurant in the world.
The 3,000 square-metre (32,000 square-foot) two-story building in the Olympic Park will have 1,500 seats. McDonald's plans to serve 1.75 million meals during the 29 day period of the Olympics and Paralympics. So if you fancy sharing a Big Mac with Usain Bolt you know where to go during August next year. McDonald's did say last night that the rumours that they were going to use an old floating prison for their new 'sail thru' outlet at Weymouth were just rumours, although apparently the concept of a flagship flagship did have a certain appeal.
Okay, I managed to mention McDonald's seven times in three and a bit paragraphs, you know where to send the cheque!

4 temples! I didn't realise they were the ONLY branded food provider...may have a few people complaining unless there are dozens of non-branded - considering the event you would have thought they would include a few "natural/organic/health" options.
I'll have a word with my sponsor agent see if he can send you a contribution :-)
P.S. Finally sorted my final link on that Larissa post to your blogpost last year ...which was my intention all along!
I can see South Africa 2010 type of problems with people having to empty sandwich boxes and throw away water bottles that aren't Mac branded.
