Zlatan ramps up the fees
The God-like genius of Swedish football Zlatan Ibrahimovic has added to his eye watering gross transfer fees by moving from Milan to PSG for a reported €23m. This means that the player who was won a Championship winners medal in every season, bar the 2011-12 season, since winning the Eredivisie in 2001-2 with Ajax, has now been bought for €191.3m (£150m) worth of transfer fees.
PSG ae clearly buying for now rather than for later and, having finished a disappointing second to regional Montpelier in last seasons Ligue 1, they are determined to use their recently acquired wealth with a serious tilt at the Champions League and a first domestic league title since the 1993-94 season.
Below, courtesy of EuroSport, are the Top 10 most expensive footballers by total career fees. The list features the great, the good and at number seven Robbie Keane.
