followed by:
An official police report shows Tory Andrew Mitchell DID brand PCs “plebs” in his Downing Street rant. The report, seen by The Sun, also confirms the Chief Whip repeatedly swore.
Leaving aside what Andrew Mitchell did or didn't say for a minute. Am I the only person who finds it slightly odd that a newspaper has managed to obtain (or at least see) a copy of an official police report that concerns a police officer whose primary role is to guard access to the street where the PM lives.

The only thing I can think of is that someone decided to drop Andrew Mitchell in it for verbally abusing the police officer. A sort of "I'll show you, you ****".
Yes, very petty etc people do this sort of thing.

Petty indeed...and had it been a Labour bod the Conservatives would crow but the BBC wouldn't and no way would a police union dick-head be allowed on to slag the 'perp'.
