An idiot and his brain are easily separated

Luis Suarez has hit out at FIFA vice president Jim Boyce after the Irishman criticised the Liverpool striker for his habit of falling over more easily than a new-born foal on a skating rink.

Suarez's defence is not that he does not dive, but rather that he hadn't heard of Boyce and therefore his views are meaningless.

"This guy, I’ve no idea who he is," Suarez said, "I don’t know why he has been talking about me. He certainly can’t be well-known and he wants to get publicity."

That's the Luis Suarez who is known to football fans for one of the three following reasons:

1. He handled the ball on the goal line in the 2010 World Cup finals which denied Africa its first semi finalists  or

2. He bit the ear of an opponent whilst playing in the Dutch league or

3. He was banned for eight games after racially abusing an opponent

He's not a nice man, is he?

I think he should keep his mouth shut and let his feet do the talking.

I wonder how much is lost in translation sometimes as well.

More than we think, I'd say. I've worked a few people from overseas and I think things get "lost in translation" all the time.
