It must be my age

Okay so it wasn't quite up there with Span's throwing a shoe at the TV (sorry but that makes me laugh everytime I think of it) but I did find myself shouting at the screen during an ad. break on Sunday. The latest 'must have' is apparently an 'app' for your I-Phone that tells it when to switch off and on so it doesn't disturb your nocturnal fantasy about playing table tennis with the Williams sisters (or at least two looky likeys).

Whatever happened to a red off button pressed downwards by a thumb?

It has to be up there with that 'app' that tells you where you car is.

The next most annoying advert is that one for Sky plus where an actor from Goodness Gracious Me says he no longer has to worry about not getting home at 6:45 and missing his favourite programme. Can somebody find me a station that has a programme anywhere in its schedules that begins at 6:45 (am or pm)?  Perhaps he was just desperate to see the sports news on his local BBC station, who knows.

I want to know why Span was watching Channel 4 News in the first place. Surely he already knows it isn't exactly a bastion of right wing politics? If I decide I don't like a programme, I simply stop watching it. Maybe it's just me.

As for apps, well, whatever next? Will there be an app to tell you what app you should get? Where will it all end. I've had a bit to drink so, in the name of common decency, I will just stop now.

Aw go on, be as indecent as you like! There probably is a 'best of app'.

Shy, a perfectly good point but news is news (one would have thought!) It was a 'wanting to listen to the news' and coming in at that time moment. I remember about 15 years ago when Channel 4 seemed good...it's the SAME people so what has happened?

Anyway, I'm pretty sure there is an app app!
