Out of the loop

It's strange how just a small adjustment to your 'usual routine' can throw a spanner in the works in the most mundane and unexpected way. This last week I have been working at a clients, it's been the same week (give a week either side) since we acquired this client six years ago, and it's only a journey of some forty five minutes from home but it's as if I have been living and working in a parallel universe - and I haven't even left the country!

I have had no contact with the news during the day, despite the fact that in different places of the building I have been working in there are three different radio stations on as well as a big screen TV showing either BBC News or the tennis from Queens. The radios are loud enough  to hear music through open doors but not loud enough to hear any news bulletins, I suspect that my brain is recognising the tunes and filling in the gaps to be honest. I haven't passed the television at any time to coincide with the news and it's not really on for the company auditor to be seen sat at one of the tables in reception reading one of the 'dailys' whilst supposedly on his way to find that important missing invoice.

The journey home coincides with PM but to be honest apart from the ongoing situation with Syria and Michael Gove there doesn't appear to have been much happening in the world this last week. When I arrive home the cricket World Cup is on and apart from a few snatched minutes of Jeff Randall live or Neil Cavuto, who looks like his head will explode if anybody mentions the IRS and any covert operations it might be conducting, I have not received any 'news input' for the last week.

Anyway back to work and how is your urinal etiquette? I ask because I was in the Gents today, minding my own business (okay, sorry wrong mental image), standing at the urinal when in comes one of the clients senior employees and starts striking up a conversation with me. I can't remember the last time this happened. I can remember the last time I was the person starting the conversation under such circumstances and it was met with such a hostile reception from the people I was with, not the guy I was actually talking to I must add, that I have desisted from doing so since. I'm not sure about you but there are certain people I don't really want to talk to whilst holding my penis - in fact there are only a handful of people I would feel comfortable with in that situation - or possibly only two and one of those is the wife.

I don't have a routine as I m generally all over the place, that said I am increasingly frustrated with loo etiquette when guys feel the need to use the 'closet' instead of the urinal but then pee all over the seat and floor: obviously I try to avoid public loos as much possible but on my travels I bet a I spend a fair amount of time CLEANING loos before I can use the bloody things!...and I most certainly ALWAYS leave it cleaner then when I entered: too many dirty fucking selfish twats about...

Do I sound annoyed? :-)
