It's all in the numbers

I had my six monthly diabetes check last week, the new nurse incidentally is one of the funniest people I have met in the medical profession and along with the two 'shaving' nurses back in July has helped make these last few months less painful than they might have been.

Anyway she went through the normal procedures, one of which is taken my weight. I knew from hospital that I had lost weight, around two stone, and when she checked my current weight against January's reading she confirmed that I was still below the earlier figure, however she added, "But your BMI is too high". Now I have always had problems making what is regarded as an acceptable BMI weight and the previous nurse said that whilst I had to try and get my weight down she didn't class me as overweight at all.

Come Saturday afternoon and the details of the teams in the Springboks v All Blacks are displayed and I am the same height and weight as at least five of the starting line-ups!
