You have to say that Gordon Strachan likes a challenge. Having worked for Rupert Lowe, worked with Ray Stubbs and managed Roy Keane, he is now preparing to sign 34 year old Jerrel Hasselbaink to line-up alongside 85 year old Dion Dublin.

Jimmy Floyd says Celtic are a great club blah, blah and it would be an honour blah, blah and they know where I am if they want to talk to me blah, blah.

Well if I was Jimmy I'd walk to Glasgow. This is a player who has, in a 16 year career with eight clubs in five countries, scored 150 goals in 300 games and so far won bugger all. At least he could go out with a domestic treble.
