Whatever your views of our troops involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan, you would have to be the owner of a heart of stone not to have been moved by the sight of 14 coffins draped in the Union flag returning home yesterday.
I saw some of this event live yesterday whilst eating lunch. It was, as you say, moving. It is interesting that the armed forces are having problems recruiting at present but not surprising.
The image is very powerful and says much without the need for any words and it does not matter which direction politically or what views you have on the action our armed services are involved with at present.
I may've just missed it but I don't remember that image being shown on the television news reports.

Just a thought, but have you considered becoming a member of the Witanagemote?
But I'm officially one of the loony left's Gang of Three - with Shy and Mags (according to Span)
I always wanted to be in a gang of three!

You can be a lefty and still be a member!
