If I put my hands over my eyes and can't see you.....

then you don't exist.

Well it used to work for small children and it seems it works for Sky sports as well.

There's no denying that Sky has revolutionised the way we watch sport, not just in the U.K but across many other European countries. From football to rugby (both codes), cricket, speedway, motor racing, greyhound racing and cycling the Murdoch empire has invested billions in either supporting the sport or changing our way of watching it. As a ticket buying, match attending spectator it can be a pain in the arse, I've watched West Ham play live for the benefits of television audiences everyday of the week except Thursday, the Friday night game was back in the dark days of the Championship, but if I just want to sit in front of a television screen, what's not to like?

Sky are currently, as in this week, running television and newspaper adverts for their coverage of the 2013 Lions Tour and the 2013 European Under-21 Championships and I have no problem with that but their coverage of the 2013 Confederations Cup is non existent. I don't mean they aren't showing matches (they aren't, BBC has the terrestrial rights and ESPN the satellite rights) but they aren't even mentioning it on their daily, hourly, Sports Update or on First Fast Now which is the evening equivalent. It's quite bizarre to see a sports station having a corporate sulk.

yes, very annoying. Obviously a commercial decision but rather pathetic.

Just seems childish.
