Would like to travel and meet people

This is Lucy.

Lucy is twenty one and a University student studying psychology, she wants to work with mentally challenged children at the end of her degree course and at the moment she is on a one hundred day placement working in a secure unit with schizophrenic patients. She's the complete opposite of the oft-portrayed young person for whom anything is too much trouble. In addition to her degree she also has a part-time job, she teaches pole dancing for fitness and is a part-time model. Add to that the fact that she was a champion dancer and that this August she will attempt to climb Kilimanjaro to raise money for a disabled boy in Eastleigh and you start to think you are somehow inadequate.

She was telling me that the training for the Kenyan climb involves practising by climbing Ben Nevis, Snowdon and then a course run by the SAS on the Brecon Beacons. Unfortunately she can't undergo any altitude training because that would mean training and staying at a specialist centre in London for seven days which is something she has neither the time nor the money for.

I first photographed Lucy back in 2009 when she was the model at a 4th July evening at a workshop. She hasn't changed much since then, still as bouncy as Tigger (probably due to the dancing skills) and she can't stop smiling. The other thing I really like about her is that she has the ability to change appearance to meet the requirement of the shoot, on Sunday she started off in 'catalogue mode' and yet by the end when she was posing in her underwear she was sexy without being slutty.

That's the first time the word versatile has made me laugh!
